Sustainability Statement
CES Textiles was founded with sustainability as our overarching principle.
We are committed to reducing environmental impacts through reducing the amount of mass that enters our landfills by reutilising waste by-products from fibre/yarn industries.
This includes our own on-site processing and working closely with likeminded suppliers and customers to recycle, remanufacture and reprocess waste fibres and yarns into another product for use (either as recycled raw material or entirely new products).
CES are committed to continually monitoring and improving levels of sustainability and the standards in which we operate.

Sustainable Purchasing Policy
At CES Textiles, we are dedicated to fostering sustainability in every aspect of our operations. As a company focused on the purchase and sale of fibre and yarn waste, our Sustainable Purchasing Policy ensures that we make environmentally responsible decisions in our procurement processes. By prioritizing sustainable practices, we aim to minimize waste, reduce environmental impacts, and support the circular economy by giving new life to fibres and yarns that would otherwise be discarded.
The objectives of this policy are to:
Promote the purchase and sale of fibre and yarn waste that helps reduce textile waste and supports recycling initiatives.
Encourage the purchase of materials and products that minimize negative environmental impacts and promote sustainability throughout the supply chain.
Support suppliers that align with our values of environmental stewardship, waste reduction, and sustainable production.
Ensure compliance with all relevant environmental laws and regulations in relation to fibre and yarn waste management.
This policy applies to all employees, departments, and functions involved in the procurement and sale of fibre and yarn waste at CES Textiles.
Sustainable Purchasing Guidelines
Material Sourcing
Prioritize the purchase of fibre and yarn waste that can be effectively reused or recycled into new products.
Select materials with lower environmental impacts, focusing on waste streams that are either biodegradable, recyclable, or made from renewable resources.
Work with suppliers who focus on reducing waste at the source, such as manufacturers who use efficient production techniques and minimise material wastage.
Waste Minimization
Purchase fibre and yarn waste in bulk, where feasible, to reduce packaging waste and improve transportation efficiency.
Ensure the materials we purchase are suitable for reuse in innovative ways, such as repurposing waste into new textile products or converting it into secondary raw materials.
Recycling and Upcycling
Collaborate with suppliers who are committed to recycling or upcycling textile waste, converting it into new fibres or products for reuse in the textile industry.
Prioritize the purchase of waste materials that are part of a closed-loop system, where the end-of-life products are fully recyclable or biodegradable.
Local and Ethical Sourcing
Whenever possible, prioritize sourcing fibre and yarn waste from local suppliers to reduce transportation-related carbon emissions and support local businesses.
Ensure suppliers adhere to ethical practices, such as fair labour conditions, responsible waste management, and sustainable production techniques.
Energy and Water Use
Purchase fibre and yarn waste from suppliers who actively seek to reduce their energy consumption and water use during production and recycling processes.
Support suppliers who implement environmentally friendly technologies and energy-efficient systems in their operations.
End-of-Life Considerations
When selling fibre and yarn waste, ensure that the materials are directed toward facilities or manufacturers that can recycle or upcycle them into new products, reducing the waste sent to landfills.
Offer clear guidance on how the products we sell can be further processed or recycled at the end of their lifecycle.
Procurement Process-Environmental Consideration
Give preference to suppliers and products that have Environmental Management Systems
Supplier Engagement and Collaboration
Engage regularly with our suppliers to ensure they are actively working toward sustainable practices and encourage continuous improvements in their environmental performance.
Foster long-term relationships with suppliers who are committed to innovation and the development of sustainable textile waste solutions.
All new suppliers must demonstrate a commitment to sustainability, waste reduction, and responsible recycling practices by providing information on their environmental performance, waste management systems, and sustainability certifications.
Sustainable Product Evaluation
Before purchasing fibre and yarn waste, evaluate the sustainability of each product by considering factors such as its potential for reuse, recyclability, and the environmental impact of its collection, transport, and processing.
Employee Training
Employees involved in the purchasing and sale of fibre and yarn waste will be trained on sustainable procurement practices, including how to evaluate environmental impacts, identify sustainable suppliers, and minimize waste.
Ongoing Monitoring and Reporting
CES Textiles will regularly assess the effectiveness of this policy and the sustainability of our purchasing decisions.
CES Textiles is committed to reducing the environmental impact of textile waste through responsible purchasing and the promotion of recycling and upcycling practices. By adhering to this policy, we aim to minimize waste, support sustainable production practices, and contribute to the circular economy.
Together with our suppliers and customers, we can create a more sustainable future for the textile industry.
